Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved cars. I used to memorize the shapes and colors of the lights on the cars so I could recognize any car in broad daylight or even during the night. Seriously - I can identify almost any car down to the exact model and make at night just based on the shape and color of the headlights. As I grew older, I spent a good amount of my time studying as much as I could about cars. What started as an interest in cars has evolved into a deep passion to understand how cars work. I, Pranav Ranganathan, am studying Mechanical Engineering at Penn State to learn more about cars.
About me
I am currently involved in the Advanced Vehicle Team and undergraduate research to develop my technical skills and knowledge regarding automobiles. My ultimate goal is to revolutionize the automotive industry. I believe that we are going to experience the second revolution in transport soon, and I want to lead it.
However, I realize that technical knowledge alone will not build a solid foundation for me to pursue this goal. I need to develop communication skills and learn about how companies use rhetorical techniques to effectively market their ideas. The class Rhetoric and Civic Life has given me a chance to not only explore these concepts while developing my skills in communication.
